The UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson says a booster jab will be recommended to all over-50s as part of the government's COVID-19 plan for winter.
The booster programme comes as the United Kingdom unveils a scheme that would rely on vaccines rather than impose further lockdowns to contain the spread of the virus.
Vaccinations will also be extended to include 12 to 15-year-olds.
