Throughout Pakistan, people are bracing themselves for the monsoon rains which caused devastating floods last year. Huge swathes of agricultural land and crops were ruined; placing rural families deeper into poverty. In some parts of Upper Sindh, areas have already been flooded and families have lost their crops for a second time.

Oxfam is calling on the government to introduce comprehensive land reforms, especially for women, as part of a wider recovery and reconstruction plan, and to prevent families from being pushed further back into a spiral of poverty.
