A total of 133 women, including teenagers, were killed in gender-related violence across Nigeria in 2024, according to the DOHS Cares Foundation’s femicide report. The data highlights a disturbing trend, with especially high numbers in the first half of the year. Among the victims was a three-year-old girl, Asiya, whose death in Bauchi State has raised significant concern.
