Pakistan’s top military brass expressed ‘condolences’ on the ‘tragic death’ of Gen Bipin Rawat. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken tweeted: ‘Will remember Gen Rawat as an exceptional leader’. Former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netenyahu condoled General Bipin Rawat’s death. Bhutan PM Lotay Tshering expressed grief at Gen Rawat’s death and offered ‘prayers for India’. Around noon today, IAF confirmed a Mi-17 V5 chopper carrying the CDS crashed near Coonoor. IAF confirmed the death of CDS Gen Rawat, his wife and 11 others on board the chopper.
