im doing a thing here where ill be trying to serve these songs some justice by doing act 2 mixes (not counting the zones that already have 2 player songs tho).

anyways i was just reading Flowey Is Not a Good Life Coach and it's suuuuuuch a nice read. it's the fanfic that "A Thorn In My Side" is based off of. sad that that was never finished, but this one is. all of the characters act exactly how you think they would (ironically [this interjection makes more sense when you actually read it]), and it feels like such a realistic scenario that im pretty sure ill just be assuming it's canon. it takes place before frisk fell, where flowey's doing all of his "runs" to squeeze as much "fun" as he can out of the underground. so in this timeline, he pretty much just emotionally, *physically,* and *_mentally_* abuses papyrus in such interesting ways. really well done allegories to manipulation, no matter how plausible it could be in real life. there are scenes as chilling as others are heartwarming. it's almost shakespearean in its nature, where the better things are going on one side, the worse you feel like things could get. i don't wanna spoil it because im pretty sure absolutely no one who will watch this video has ever committed to reading a web book (is that what its called?) that's this long. i get it. i've only started yesterday night, but im on chapter 16. i still HIGHLY recommend that you go read it if you're an undertale fan or a flowey fan. maybe i'll read the "Chara Isn't a Very Good Life Coach Either" fan... fanfic later and tell you how that one is. oh right, aquatic ruin alternate.
id had some of these instruments preparing to be used for months now, and i've just never had the appropriate spots for them. and now, here they are. still trying to use sounds that aren't from classic sonic games to vary the instrumentation some more. i think i could've done better on this song tho. everyone often overlooks aquatic ruin (not necessarily the alternate version, just the zone in general) and im one of those people, so this sadly might not have as much put into it as i may have with chemical plant or hill top. still tried, tho.
btw all of these songs are a lot better with headphones on. both.
