At least 19 people were injured after a running express train collided with a stationary goods train on Friday evening at Tamil Nadu's Kavaraipettai railway station, near Chennai. Due to the impact of the collision, a fire broke out in two coaches, and at least 13 coaches derailed.
The stranded passengers of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express were transferred to another special train on Saturday morning to continue their journey. The injured people have been hospitalised.
