Travelling through the desert in the center of the Hoenn region can be a dangerous thing to do. Between the blistering heat and the vision-obscuring sandstorms, it's not something you should do without a plan. And that's BEFORE you take into account some of the Pokemon lurking there -- the most dangerous among them, a mysterious Grass/Dark-type Pokemon known as Cacturne.

According to the PokeDex: "It becomes active at night, seeking prey that is exhausted from the day's desert heat. Packs of them follow travelers through the desert until the travelers can no longer move..."
