In a major development, two unknown youths were caught on CCTV placing explosives-like material outside Ajnala Police Station in Punjab. Ajnala Police Station is the same place where Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh’s supporters attacked. In the CCTV footage that has surfaced, two men can be seen arriving near the Police station and placing something suspicious outside Ajnala Police Station.
As per a report, it has come to light that Babbar Khalsa International terrorists Happy Pasian and Gopi Nawanshahariya were behind the bomb found in Ajnala police station in Amritsar on Sunday. Reports suggest that RDX was used in this bomb. The weight of the bomb was about 800 grams.
Furthermore, a detonator was used with RDX which was placed near the door of the police station. So that, as soon as the door is opened, it can be blasted. The staff present at the police station were fortunate that the bomb did not explode due to some technical malfunction. Otherwise, things could have been different.
This latest incident has further heightened security concerns in the region. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly and trying to identify the accused based on technical evidence.
