Here is the full performance of Caruso Live in Las Vegas... a moment of meaning I will never forget. What people don't know are the circumstances prior to this performance. I was sick for 2 and a half months beginning in May 2012. Management had us doing 3-4 back to back performances in the same day, Vancouver, LA, then Prince George, they organized a private jet to fly us around everywhere to get it all in. I went to get a massage between a performance. When I came out there were streaks of bruising all over my back. I got on a plane to next gig and realized I was having an episode of ITP with blood surfacing to the top of my skin and hematoma everywhere. I was taken off the plane and rushed to hospital and missed my Prince George performance that night and would miss all other performances for the next 4 months. The worry was in case I ruptured a blood vessel while moving or singing, the bleeding wouldn't stop. I was hospitalized and it was hellish. I was on powerful chemo like meds and I lost my voice, gained a ton of weight and had this live taping in 2 months. I had no idea how it would go as two weeks to show time and I had no voice so I decided to stop my meds as I felt they were killing me and the cause of my voice failure. Well that in itself nearly killed me with heart palpitations unlike anything I have felt before. There was no way I would be able to sing this full show had I remained on them so I risked it. There are many things in life that go on that people have no idea about. There is a story in every note sung. I didn't sing a note of this until this very performance you see and hear. I had not sung this song in rehearsal prior with the band, so nobody knew how it would go. I for one hadn't sung it at all before being sick either. We find ourselves in moments where we are tested beyond measure. I am blessed to have a helping hand from above leading the way when I couldn’t see the road before me. The sigh of relief at the end is me thanking God and my dad for keeping me safe through the performance. The crazy thing is it prepped me for UOS's taping which I sang with no rehearsals due to strep throat. Sometimes there are signs that tell us to slow down and appreciate the moments we have for it might be the last. 🙏❤️☮️
