History has been written after the high court for the first time declared a petitioner in an election case the winner. This happened in Kisii County where Zebedeo Opore's election as Member of Parliament for Bonchari constituency was nullified. Oroo Oyioka who had lodged the petition was declared the duly elected mp in the march 4th general election. Following a court-ordered recount the petitioner led with a margin of just five votes.
