The campaign concept for the Tanz im August festival of contemporary dance in Berlin aims to show that while contemporary dance may appear as random movements to some, there is an underlying flexible system guiding these movements to create uniquely expressive stories. This idea is visually represented through a flexible grid system, designed to allow pixel illustrations to move in a fluid yet systematic manner, creating various visual elements such as dancers’ movements, patterns, and typography.
This project was developed during the 6th semester at Hochschule Rhein-Waal, under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Markwald.
