On Tuesday January 26th at 6pm. Laura Yetter of Legal Services of Alabama will join us. Ms. Yetter has an extensive knowledge on fines, fees, and court costs in Alabama. Her presentation will cover the costs of criminal convictions, and the impact of these costs on indigent criminal defendants.
Laura Yetter, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, works as the court debt attorney for Legal Services Alabama. In her capacity as the court debt attorney, Ms. Yetter works with criminal defendants who are unable to pay the fines and fees stemming from their criminal convictions. Before coming to Legal Services, Ms. Yetter clerked for the Honorable Judge Hughey in Jefferson County Circuit Court.
