Captain Shawn Steward and Lead Deckhand Corey Russell run the Aloha Spirit Sportfishing Charter boat from Channel Islands Sportfishing Center. We went out for a day of rockfish with them and got more than what we expected. One of his amazing secret spots brought up the most random rockfish in shallow waters. One angler fished up limits on sheephead (5/person), another hooked a 5 pound Whitefish. There were a bunch of basses, red snappers and other misc reds. Overall, it was a successful day of fishing. Everyone was able to take 10+ fishes home for some good eating.
