Shanghai residents have rushed into grocery stores and swarmed the streets after a two-month coronavirus lockdown was lifted in the Chinese financial hub.
Restrictions, however, have only been lifted in low-risk areas of the city. The government says full bus and subway services will be restored Wednesday, as will some rail connections with the rest of China. Schools will partially reopen. Shopping malls and stores will be allowed to bring back business gradually, but at no more than 75 percent capacity. High-risk areas will reopen at a later date.
