The Solidarity Fund presented its integrated annual report, audited financial statements and projects update today. The fund is mandated to contribute towards the national health response to the COVID-19 crisis, provide humanitarian relief and mobilise South Africans. In March last year when the coronavirus hit South African shores, many came forth to pledge their support for the effort to curb the virus, contributing to the Solidarity Fund.
The Fund says it received over R3.4 billion from March last year to September this year.
