The County Government of Vihiga in collaboration with USAID Afya Ugavi held a recognition and reward ceremony for facilities in the county based on their performance in supply chain management. To motivate the health facilities to sustain good practice and introduce a culture of accountability, Vihiga County introduced an annual awards event. The award ceremony, which is in its third year was organized by the Vihiga county health department in collaboration with Afya Ugavi and other partners to recognize and reward excellence in supply chain management and motivate health workers to maintain good practices, and introduce a culture of accountability that sustains access and availability of services.
