Last September 28th from the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno Tahoe, Nevada, the new Miss Teen USA 2023 was crowned, with the Indian - Mexican UmaSofia Srivastava Miss New Jersey Teen USA winning, who at only 16 years of age gave the state of New Jersey its first Miss Teen USA crown in the pageant's 41 years of existence, the last time New Jersey went further was with Alyssa Campanella in 2007 reaching the position of 1st runner-up, she later in 2011 became Miss USA representing the state of California, placing in a well-deserved Top 16 in Miss Universe 2011
