Bank of Baroda, has taken a significant step in response to allegations of misconduct concerning its mobile banking application 'BoB World.' Over 50 employees, including assistant general managers, have been suspended. The concerns surrounding the 'BoB World' app pertain to inflated user registration figures and anomalies in the customer onboarding process. As a result, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed restrictions on the bank, prohibiting it from accepting new users until it resolves these issues and reinforces its operational procedures.
