My fiance and I were on our way up to the Owasippe Scout Reservation north of Muskegon where there was a family cabin that we were staying at with her family so we did some sightseeing in Grand Haven, MI after lunch. On the way to the lighthouse we stopped at a park where Pere Marquette 1223 (2-8-4 Berkshire engine built by Lima Locomotive works in 1941) along with a boxcar, Pere Marquette caboose, GTW caboose, and coalinga tower are on display. Pere Marquette 1223 and it's running sibling 1225 are the only two Berkshire engines from the Pere Marquette still preserved. Quite a nice park and the engine and cars were excellently restored considering how unforgiving the midwestern winters can be. Enjoy and don't forget to comment and subscribe!!!!
