The deathtoll from last week's earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has surged past 37 thousand. According to the world health organisation the quakes are the worst natural disaster affecting the region of Europe in a hundred years. Despite the humanitarian effort having switched from search and rescue to recovery, some people have still been pulled out alive today. FRANCE 24's Jasper Mortimer is in İskenderun and he has more on how authorities greenlighting buildings which are safe to inhabit.
