From 1977 to 1994, every guitar tone of David Gilmour, live or studio had rotary. Before that it was leslie, after that, he used his Yamaha on a few occasion, at least that i know of (barn jams is an example).

SO, you need something to simulate that. A leslie simulator is not gonna cut it. This guy (and of course there are other alternatives like dawner prince pulse) is your friend!

I tried to demonstrate this guy in a few tones like PULSE or The Wall Live or studio tones. I'm not much of a flanger or chorus guy, more like phaser maybe. And I always prefer studio tones to live tones (except on a few occasion ehehe) so this is probably my favorite modulation of all time.

Note that RT-20 is always, ALWAYS at the end of the chain, after modulation and delay, before amp.
