Bishop Michael Burbidge delivered his homily at the annual Chrism Mass on April 15, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary, NC. The Chrism Mass is the yearly event in which oils are blessed and consecrated by a Bishop and sent to the areas in which they will be used for the Sacraments and blessings. This sacred journey is an annual milestone event for the Diocese of Raleigh. Priests from all over the Diocese—representing every parish, mission, and chapel—join in unity with the Bishop at the Chrism Mass to receive the oils they will use in the coming year, as well as to renew the promises they made at their ordination.
