My name is Captain J.D. Crunch. The name started as a joke and just stuck. I am a licensed fishing captain at Lift 2 Fish and an all-wood fishing lure builder. You can find me in two places, at home with my family or fishing the Lower Laguna Madre between South Padre Island, Arroyo City, Texas, and Port Mansfield, Texas. I love catching big Red Fish, Speckled Sea Trout, Flounder, and sometimes Mangrove Snapper. I have fished the Texas coast from Port O’Connor, Texas to Rockport, Texas, and some of Corpus Christi, Texas, but my home is in South Texas. I enjoy preparing catch and cook videos and short fishing videos of the fish I or my clients catch.

Education: The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) (PSU), where I obtained two degrees. One in Labor and Employment Relations-with a focus in Business Management & Ethics. And the other in Criminal Justice-with a focus in police ethics. I am a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Associate, and was the Vice President and Treasurer for the Blue and White Society from 2019-2020.
