The first stereoscopic photographs of war taken during the 1859 Second Italian War of Independence across northern Italy.
Stereoscopic Photograph Pair #1: Two men standing amongst soldiers who died fighting in a cemetery during the 1859 Battle of Melegnano which was part of the Second Italian War of Independence. This is believed to be the first photograph taken immediately after fighting of dead combatants on a battlefield as well as the first ever taken of bodies in stereoscopic format.

Stereoscopic Photograph Pair #2: A military hospital in Milan possibly in the process of receiving wounded patients. An example of stereoscopic photographs that captured an amount of motion because the images were taken an indeterminate time apart.
Stereoscopic Photograph Pair #3: View of the Buffalora Bridge over the Ticino River which was partially destroyed by Austrian forces.
Stereoscopic Photograph Pair #4: Time-lapse view of a convoy of wagons bringing wounded soldiers to Brescia in the aftermath of the Battle of Solferino, 1859. The photos were taken a short time apart, possibly around a second, giving the images a slight amount of motion when animated. Stereoscopic depth does not seem to come out very well in the pair when animated for unknown reasons.
