This webinar examines the proposed framework of carbon budgets and results of studies by the Irish Academy of Engineers, designed to determine the required investment in Ireland. Prof. Barry McMullin explains the proposed framework and present some preliminary quantitative assessment of how the initial 15-year "budget programme" may be structured. Gerry Duggan presents the results of the Irish Academy of Engineers study looking at the most cost effective options and examining if the labour force in Ireland has a sufficient number of suitably qualified people to deliver the projects in the time frame required.
