Two Glasgow restaurants have been added to OpenTable's annual Top 100 Restaurants in the UK.

Argyle House Restaurant in Ibrox came 16th on the list with Number 16 Restaurant on Byres Road placing 55th best restaurant. A total of 8,500 restaurants throughout the UK are sited on the restaurant-reservation service.

The Top 100 list is complied with more than 1,080,000 verified OpenTable diner reviewers.

Although London represented 77% of the best restaurants on the list this year, it shows a drop from 81% since last year.

British cooking and dining came out on top, making up 19% of this year's restaurant list, followed by Modern European cuisine, which made up 12%.

Adrian Valeriano, VP EMEA of OpenTable, commented: "Diner reviews are a fundamental part of OpenTable's service, enabling customers to not only leave their thoughts on the food and experience but to help other diners find the right restaurant for them by giving honest and authentic feedback.

"This year's reviews continue to demonstrate that London is the UK's culinary capital, although that might not be the case for long, as burgeoning restaurants from the North and East of England make their debut in the top 100, highlighting the incredible selection of restaurants across the nation."
