Nick had two G-Wizs lying in a shed gathering dust and becoming a home for mice so when I stayed at his permaculture garden for 3 weeks we pulled them out and fitted mercedes tesla cells from Zero-Ev.
We had an unknown problem with the Reva i which we couldn't resolve without taking it to going green so we decided to work on the DC car instead. The mercedes tesla modules are perfect for this application as they are longer and shorter than the other tesla modules. They also have water cooling technology which will make it super simple to install fast charging in the future whilst keeping the batteries cool.
The mercedes tesla cells are 7s rather than 6s which makes a series of 14s and a voltage range of between 48-57.4 volts which is ideal for the G-Wiz. They are also much cheaper than the other tesla modules.
I have grown fond of them and if it was not for the limited capacity fit under the seats I would make the change in my own car in a heartbeat. They are the simplest way to convert a G-Wiz without worrying about custom packs and having to make sure that they are working ok like my 18 used packs of 3042 laptop cells. Not only are they water cooled, they are individually fused too!
The cost all in for the cells (£2200), a custom bms and a canbus charger comes to £3200 which isn't bad for a 12kw conversion and an estimated 80 mile range (which should be relatively accurate given my experience with DC and AC cars).
