Duplexity - The Animation School
Nepal stands in front of her new duplex house, with a moving box in her hands, and eagerly waves at her neighbour, Therio, who lounges on an old patio chair. Therio looks over at Nepal and casually nods his head at her while listening to music on his Walkman. Inside the house, Nepal hammers a nail into the wall by her collection of photo frames. With every hit of the nail, Therio’s shelf jerks on the opposite side. Nepal hammers vigorously and wakes Therio up. Therio rushes over from the couch and catches the shelf. Nepal admires her photos and happily leaves the lounge. Therio knocks the nail back into the wall causing Nepal's photo frames to fall off. In the morning, Therio blows leaves around his garden with a leaf blower which disruptively wakes up Nepal. Outside, busy Therio unknowingly points the leaf blower at frustrated Nepal and the gush of wind violently blows her back. Therio finishes and enters his home, Nepal angrily grabs a bunch of leaves and satisfyingly chucks them back onto Therio's side. She goes inside and slams the door. The leaves gradually blow back onto her side and night arrives. Inside, Therio slouches on his couch while he watches TV and Nepal snuggles up onto her sofa. She clicks her TV remote and it changes Therio’s channel, they go back and forth changing channels which causes a power surge. Nepal and Therio rush outside to the electrical box. Nepal's torch batteries die and Therio offers his Walkman batteries to her. Their hand's touch and they both look up at one another in admiration.
