So I FINALLY got to try Koco’s Pub, and yes, their food lives up to the hype. Honestly, this may be my new *favorite* crab cake in town!
My mom LOVES crab cakes so I wanted to take her with me to enjoy. Suffice it to say, she was blown away, and we loved the other dishes we got, too 🙂
SO, here’s what we ordered:
▪️Creamy Crab Dip ($16.99): blend of cheese & herbs filled with lumps of crab and served with buttery baguette bread. Really fantastic.
▪️Koconut Fried Shrimp App ($14.99) - house made coconut fried shrimp served with raspberry jalapeno sauce. PheNOMenal. Fried to crispy perfection, and the sauce that came with was absolute perfection. It had a realllly nice kick to it that I loved. 11/10 recommend.
▪️The “Original” Crab Cake Platter ($40.99) - their 11oz crab cake with fries, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato. This was as big as a softball, and STUFFED with lump crab. Almost no filler, and it was cooked so beautifully. And if you want sauce, they have tartar and cocktail available 🫶
Additional Notes 📝
▪️I went pretty much as soon as they opened, and they were already busy + their tables were reserved, lol. If you can, make a reservation because they will 100% fill up. There were some seats available at the bar though, and high top tables were an option as well.
▪️Service was GREAT! Food came out quick, and our server was friendly and attentive.
▪️They offer uncooked crab cakes to go + ship directly.
▪️They can do gluten-free crab cakes with notice! You gotta give them a heads up though 😀
▪️And FYI, the cost will vary since it’s MP! I think the price was like $50-60 (or something along those lines, I can’t rem exactly) a few years back?
ANYWHO, I’m so, SO impressed. I will def be back, and next time I want to try their cream of crab soup as well. What’s your favorite crab cake? Let me know by leaving a comment below, Nomsters!
