The official Twitter of Border Security Force (BSF) had shared the video of a jawan doing push ups in snow-capped Kashmir. In the video, a BSF jawan can be seen doing push ups on a ground covered with a thick layer of snow. The video was captioned: '40 seconds. 50 push ups. Bring it ON #FitIndiaChallenge'. In the same Twitter thread, BSF shared another video of a jawan doing one-handed push ups in snow. The videos left netizens in awe. In the process, the contributions of those who diverged from the dominant Gandhian stream — notably the revolutionary nationalists, the Liberal Party constitutionalists, the Hindu nationalists, the Communists, the champions of social justice and, not least, those who organised and participated in what might loosely be called subaltern movements — have often been either overlooked or underplayed.
The official seal of approval on Bose, in effect, constitutes an enlargement of India’s political heritage. It will enrich the popular absorption of India’s history.
