So, we have been milking these old dual purpose batteries for almost 6 months now. Using the smallest amount of 12v juice we can. Luckily between the one solar panel we have and the wind generator we have, it keeps them charged throughout the day. And if we run the engine, they also stay charged. But as soon as the sun goes down on a calm windless night, they start to slowly drain, even when no lights are on. This became a serious concern as we do not want to have to worry about the bilge pump not working and coming into a surprise of ankle deep water in the boat. These Trojan Clone 225ah batteries came highly recommended by more than a few people we trust. Let see how they hold up under use. Alot more planned to continue upgrading our solar panels and battery banks in the near future. Let's just see how these perform 1st.
