Indonesia outside Java, Bali and Flores offers some of the most adventurous travels in the world with some incredible landscape and warm hospitality.
In this video, I go to West Sumba from Nusa Penida island in Bali, starting my journey in Sumba from Tambaloka. In West Sumba, I couldn't find any hotel online, and it was impossible to book on phone, so i just reached the airport with no plans, a one-way ticket and some invincible excitement of the unknown.
There were no scooter rentals, so I spoke to the Air Traffic controller who happily rented me his scooter and I ventured in the the Wild Wild West side of the island. It was an exhausting day with rains and treacherous roads, but in the end it was all worth it, as I was welcomed with great enthusiasm in Kodi village.
