One of the key artifacts of Agile / Scrum is the idea of backlog. A product backlog is the entire list of all the features, functions, requirements, enhancement and fixes identified as being needed to produce a product or solution, it is one of the first things a team should have in order to start developing their product. In general, these features are broken down into user stories, and these user stories are the backbone of the Product Backlog.
Story mapping consists of ordering user stories along two independent dimensions. we arrange user activities along the horizontal axis in rough order of priority . Down the vertical axis, it represents the details of these activities.
These are the steps that will help you create your Story Map
1- Define your vision
2- Build your backbone
3- Identify and group activities
4- Break the activities into tasks
5- Test you story map for the gaps.
6- Prioritize the different tasks
7- Define iterations or releases
8- Keep the story map updated
