GS CAS ARGENTINA: Gen.Jorge Rafael Videla, the former
08088410 military Pres. is arrested for human rights abuses
1"VT+BVU and is placed under 'rigorous preventive arrest'
by Argentina's top military court. The current
Pres. Raul Alfonsin ordered that the Gen. and 8 other
former junta members be tried for torture and mass
murder during the years of military rule, which came
to be known as the 'dirty war'.
