New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has refused to reveal the identity of the 'ISIS-inspired' terrorist who injured seven people in an Auckland shopping mall on Friday.
Ms Ardern will allow details on his extremist past to be shared with the public, but has rejected the opportunity to reveal the attacker's name despite a judge preparing to lift suppression orders.
It comes after yesterday's attack - which left five critically injured - raises questions about the country's anti-terror laws.
The 32-year-old man, who authorities have described as a 'lone' attacker has been on a terror watch list since 2016.
The prime minister admitted the man could not be kept behind bars - despite his extremist views - because he hadn't committed a crime.
