I have been modifying the Boyds stock to fit the Savage Axis Heavy Barrel, and now need to customize the stock to fit my hand. The length of pull is OK, but the distance and angle from the pistol grip to the trigger just didn't fit my short stocky hand. After sanding down some of the grip I decided to try and add some material to the front of the grip to change the angle and move the center line of the grip and decrease the distance from the grip to the trigger. This is a custom job that fits my hand and fingers. If you want a similar custom grip, please contact me. You will need to send your stock (not the entire rifle) to me. I can mold the grip with or without the finger grooves.
