1) Do not attempt unless qualified to do so.
2) No harm was meant to the animal, I was simply tracking it. The tool at the beginning is not enough to bring down a bear or a cougar, and that is intentional. I carry other tools in case of an emergency - because of this, my draw time on the ankle holster is irrelevant.
3) There is a 1:3 cougar to human ratio where I live. Other people's thresholds for what constitutes a threat or is considered dangerous may be different from your own - please be respectful of that.
4) Cougars, bears, and other predators are often scared of humans, and rightfully so. We were in his territory and remained respectful of that.
5) Cougars have a massive radius of their territory boundary, and are rarely threatened unless you come upon a den. I am familiar with this area and we were remaining safe and respectful of the animal.
