Fire Maple 'Polaris' - *New*Regulated Stove System - Review

A review of the 'Polaris' which is the new, fully regulated cooking system made by Fire Maple Gear.

This is their new, pressure regulated cooking system which includes a large pot, regulated burner head, gas canister support, pot stand and transparent lid - which works together as one cooking system.

Quality is good - these cooking systems are all fairly similar, however the burner on this one is fully regulated which will improve consistency and performance in colder conditions - similar to the Soto Windmaster stove.

Things I like:

- High quality components
- Regulated burner head
- Built in piezo ignition
- Large 1L plus cooking vessel
- Sturdy transparent lid with vent for steam escape

Things which could be improved:

- Price - getting into Jetboil territory - would like to see this at a more competitive price point
- burner head is a slightly tight fit when packing away / getting out
- Additional pan support does not accommodate smaller diameter cookware
