I bought this instrument two days ago - and the confusing fact is that the strings are reversed, compared to the Morin Huur, That means the position of the low and the high string is differnet and the fingers first have to learn to work in the opposite way. The Igil is played by some western mongolian ethnicities, and is also distributed in Tuva. Mostly it is tuned in a fifth, but these three pieces are in a fourth. It turned out the fingering is easier than on the Morin huur :-)
