In this tutorial, I first show you how to route the outputs of Ableton Live into Focusrite Control. Secondly, I will show you how to route the outputs of your Focusrite interface using Focusrite Control. I am using Ableton Live and Focusrite Control but this concept is basically the same with any DAW, interface and interface software. This is good information if your are learning to record artists or bands...as well as needing the ability to send specific signals to..say... a front of house sound engineer, as an example. As a drummer, I find it useful to be able to split the different elements of my drums and backing tracks so the FOH engineer will have to most control in his/her live mixing.
