The Scarborough RT, also known as Line 3, served as a light rail line in Scarborough, Toronto, Canada, providing crucial public transportation in the eastern part of the city. Operating for several years, it covered a distance of 6.4 kilometers (4 miles) and included six stations along its route. Utilizing S-series vehicles, specifically designed for its elevated and intermediate track configuration, the RT faced challenges with maintenance and reliability over time. Eventually, in 2019, the Scarborough RT service was discontinued, leading to discussions about its future and plans to replace it with a new extension of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, aiming to offer a more efficient and integrated transit solution for the Scarborough area.
