It was an unfortunate incident faced by a cute baby elephant.This baby elephant has accidently fallen in to a water hole located near a paddy field. It was reported that a herd of elephant has visited the village last night and has eaten the cultivated crops in the village. Probably this baby elephant has faced this disaster during that time. His mother is seen frantically wandering around the watering hole , trying to get her baby out.
The nearby villagers heard the mournful trumpeting of the baby elephant and his mother in the morning. They soon gathered around the water hole ,finding a way to get the baby elephant out. One of them has called the nearest office of department of wildlife conservation for help. The officers soon arrived the spot. Together with the villagers,they discussed what is the best possible way to get the out. Meanwhile mother elephant is trying to attack the onlookers without knowing that these humans were there to help her baby to come out. She didn't leave her baby even for a single second.That's the nature of mother's love.
The officers decided that best way to save the baby elephant is cutting an inclined pathway through the wall of the water hole . So that it will be easier for the baby elephant to come out by himself. But mother elephant was constantly disturbing the people who were there to help.It was difficult to continue the operation with her disturbances. Therefore it is needed to guide her away somehow. The officers had to use firecrackers to scare away the mother elephant. Then after the Jcb machine reached the water hole and started digging the path. Finally they were able to create a slope across the well wall. Baby elephant easily managed its way along that path. It was a happy rejoining of mother and son.
