If you're looking for a good guard dog, a Staffy is not the way to go. There are definitely better options when it comes to guard dogs.
The reason Staffies don't make good guard dogs is because they LOVE people. They're known for being friendly to complete strangers, happily wagging their tail and giving out licks like it's their job.
That said, Staffies do make good watch dogs and will bark and warn you if someone is approaching the house. Staffies are also likely to defend their owner if it ever comes to that. 🦴
