Reviewing the Vivo V40 5G, an update to the marvellous mid-ranger just six months later, with tweaked camera tech and boosted battery life. That performance hasn't been upgraded vs the Pro, but the Vivo V40 5G isn't a slouch. You can still get gaming on Zenless Zone Zero etc.

In many ways, this phone is almost identical to the Pro model. The design, colour offerings aside, is basically the same - including the lack of IP rating and that Schott glass construction. The regular Vivo V40 also rocks the same 5500mAh battery with 80W charging, and spacious OLED display with stereo speakers.
However, that camera uses a different Samsung sensor, while there's no telephoto portrait shooter either. And the Vivo V40 5G also uses the same SD 7 Gen 3 chipset as the previous V30, so gaming is much the same. Thankfully performance is still respectable and batteyr life is excellent.
So overall, the Vivo V40 5G is still a great mid-range offering to take on the OnePlus Nord 4 and Samsung's Galaxy A55. Let us know your thoughts below!
