The magic ring is an essential technique for crocheting in the round when you want to avoid the hole in the middle that you see when you start with a slip knot and chain and work into the chain.
Note: This video is *not* intended to be the first tutorial for a new crocheter; it assumes you already know how to make single crochet stitches.
