In this video i tried to pick up some signals from space with parts from older satellite receiving only (TVRO) . PLEASE do not contact me with alien jokes..
I used a 6ft dish antenna, the ICOM ICR7000 receiver, a LPT-3000 spectrum analyzer and the BladeRF SDR radio. I also tuned my antenna and receivers with a Gigatronics signal generator 0.01 to 8Ghz.
I explored mainlty 2 frequencies, the hydrogen line at 1420Mhz and a broader region from 3.4 to 4,2 Ghz with encouraging results.
