In the year 2020, while the world grappled with the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lorena embarked on a transformative journey with the YALI, as a member of Cohort 41, she embraced the challenges and opportunities of a virtual learning environment with unwavering enthusiasm.
Lorena’s passion for her work was evident from the beginning. She is the visionary founder of Heura, a digital platform designed to demystify and destigmatize menstruation through the art of storytelling and photojournalism. Her mission is ambitious: to end period poverty and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
