Look, I don't really know how to put it into words, but I freaking love Slovakia. And Banska Bystrica holds a very special place in my heart. Is there something truly special or unique about it? I dunno, probably not.
Still, I try to travel to this lovely town at least twice a year. Not as a detour, not as a day trip from a nearby city. I specifically visit Banska Bystrica and just hang out there. It has all the things I love: good coffee, tasty food, amazing beer and great people. The air is fresh. Tatra Mountains are located nearby. The peace and the quiet of Banska Bystrica is something that I will always love and cherish.
And, of course, Baran beer. It's the best!
