In this video, we'll take a tour of Yasaka or Gion Shrine. This is one of the three main Shinto shrines in Kyoto City. Located in the famous Gion area, Yasaka Shrine is the birthplace of one of Japan's most famous festivals, Gion Matsuri. When you go to Kyoto City, don't forget to visit this place which is very close to the world famous Kiyomizudera Temple and the main shopping district of the city.
