Tamina Lolev talked about her love-hate relationship with Bucharest and how through urban regeneration we can save a city that’s sick because of traffic and pollution. Born and raised in Bucharest, Tamina chose to see Bucharest’s shortcomings as opportunities. The city is full of forgotten industrial spaces left to rot. Together with a group of friends, architect, designers and engineers, Tamina transformed a hall into a space for the creative industries, where more than 100 people are working on projects and start-ups. Happily, their initiative is not a singular example in Romania. Tamina is an architect and partner at Wolfhouse Productions urbanism and architecture studio. In 2012 she initiated the Calup project, aimed at the temporary re-conversion of valuable buildings in Bucharest. Since December 2014 she coordinates the Design department of the NOD Makerspace project. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
